In the context of children’s rights, incorporation means giving effect to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and its provisions in domestic law (Kilkelly et al 2021).  It requires that the CRC’s provisions can be invoked before courts and applied by national authorities (CRC GC 5, para. 20).
